I’ll Be Dead In a Week
Real news daily. M.D. Creekmore provides a smart summary of the days ten most fascinating news stories…
1. If That’s the Case Then I’ll Be Dead In a Week
According to a new study by Researchers at Michigan State University having friends is more important than family for our long-term health. I have to call B.S. on this – yeah, friends are important but ones family members can also be ones best friends and allies. Study Finds: Friendship More Important For Health Than Family As We Age, Study Finds.
+ And another study that contradicts the one above – Closeness to Family, Not Friends, Helps You Live Longer.
2. An Easy $10,000 From WikiLeaks
I reported here yesterday about Reality Leigh Winner, the 25-year-old federal contractor who worked for Pluribus International Corporation and was arrested on Saturday for leaking classified information to the media. Well the latest is that she was double-crossed by the Intercept reporter who took the classified info she possessed and then promptly turned her into the FBI who then proceeded to charge her with espionage. Well, the whole thing seems to have hit a nerve with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange who is now offering a $10,000 bounty aimed at getting a reporter for The Intercept fired. The Hill: WikiLeaks offers $10,000 to get Intercept reporter fired.
+ Accused leaker wanted to ‘resist’ Trump – now she will most likely be resisting from a prison cell. They are claiming that she leaked “Top Secret Level” information – my question is how did a low-level contractor get her hands on “Top Secret Level” in the first place? My guess would be that someone higher up used her as a patsy to release the info for them and to take the fall for it.
+ They are going to make me disappear Reality Winner tells her mom before federal agents arrested her Saturday at her mother’s home in Augusta.
+ A former U.S. intelligence contractor tells Circa he walked away with more than 600 million classified documents on 47 hard drives from the National Security Agency and the CIA, a haul potentially larger than Edward Snowden’s now infamous breach. Circa: Did the FBI have evidence of a breach larger than Snowden? A lawsuit says yes.
3. Creeping Death
Just as health departments across the nation are warning that this year’s milder winter brings an especially high threat from ticks in the spring and summer, federal health officials say two new cases of a tick-borne illness that kills 1 in 10 infected have been reported in Maine. WND: Creeping death: Tick virus spreads across U.S.
+ Preventing tick bites – good basic advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
4. Real Estate Website Urges Buyers: Move to TX If You¹re Conservative!
The website Conservativemove.com is urging right-leaning residents from blue states, to move to the Lone Star state. The website tag line reads “Helping Families Move Right.” CBS: Real Estate Website Urges Conservatives To Buy Texas Homes.
5. It’s Not as Much Fun When It’s You’re The Ones Being Spied On
Some conservatives on Capitol Hill think intelligence sources could leak information on them too, as they did on former national security adviser Michael Flynn and now are seeking to limit the illegal spying capabilities of federal spy agencies. McClatchy DC: Republicans worried about leaks consider cutting back surveillance authority.
6. The Cult Of Death Strikes Again
At least 12 people were killed and 35 wounded in joint raids on parliament and Ayatollah Kohmeini’s shrine in Iran on Wednesday. The Daily Mail: ISIS carries out its first strike in Iran.
+ Drone footage shows dozens of bodies of men, women and children killed as they tried to escape the Islamic State stronghold. Sky News: Islamic State massacre at least 160 civilians fleeing western Mosul.
7. Real Threats To The Environment
With all the disagreement about man made climate change being real or a hoax we can all still agree that there are real threats to the environment and Natural News lists the top ten alarming, REAL threats to the environment that are widely ignored by “climate change” advocates.
+ Also from Natural News: From Bitcoin to climate change: The top 10 things you probably believe that are complete bulls##t.
8. More Infighting
According to ABC News the relationship between President Donald Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions has become so tense that Sessions at one point recently even suggested he could resign. ABC News: Attorney General Jeff Sessions suggested he could resign amid rising tension with President Trump.
9. Breaking: Trump to nominate Christopher Wray as next FBI director
President Trump said today that he will nominate former Assistant Attorney General and former Chris Christie lawyer Christopher Wray to be the new director of the FBI. ABC News: Trump to nominate Christopher Wray as next FBI director.
