I’m Back to Posting Prepping Content (and Why I Left in the First Place)
Well, I’m back.
After about six or seven months away, I’ve decided to start posting prepping and news-related content again on my original M.D. Creekmore YouTube channel.
For a while, I was focused on my other channel, The View from Appalachia, and I pretty much put the prepping channel on the back burner. There were a lot of reasons for that, but the biggest one was simple: I was disappointed in the prepping community.
After the last presidential election, I watched a large portion of the prepper world completely drop their guard. People who once prided themselves on being skeptical, independent thinkers suddenly started treating politics like a religion — as if one man in office was going to fix everything.
When I asked logical questions about tariffs, government overreach, or gun control — even when I pointed out things that were plain common sense — I got attacked. Hundreds of people unsubscribed just because I refused to worship a politician.
And that told me something important: many preppers had forgotten why they started prepping in the first place.
Prepping was never about trusting politicians or picking sides. It’s about being ready for whatever comes, no matter who’s in office. It’s about taking responsibility for yourself, your family, and your future — because the system isn’t built to protect you.
That’s why I’m back. Because now, more than ever, we need common-sense prepping and real conversations about what’s happening in this country. AI surveillance, digital currencies, censorship, inflation — the warning signs are flashing red, and yet too many people are still asleep at the wheel.
I’m not here to play politics. I’m here to tell the truth and help you stay prepared, informed, and free.
