Is The Yellowstone Super-Volcano Getting Ready to Erupt?
A Whole Lot of Shaking Going On – Is The Yellowstone Super-Volcano Getting Ready to Erupt?
Geologists have recorded 878 earthquakes, as of June 26, at the Yellowstone supervolcano in the past two weeks—approaching double the number of quakes reported a little over a week before. The current swarm of earthquakes began on June 12 on the western edge of Yellowstone National Park. By June 19, the number of quakes reached the highest in five years at 464 total events, USGS reported.
An increase in seismic activity can mean that a volcano is about to erupt, however, scientists with the United States Geological Survey say that there is almost no risk of the supervolcano erupting. (I hope that they’re right, and not doing what is normally done by government and that is keeping the public in the dark about what’s really happening, in an effort to keep public panic to a minimum. And just in case you’re wondering what would happen if Yellowstone Super-Volcano erupts…
In short, a Yellowstone supereruption would disrupt electronics and endanger human health in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and affect other parts of the country. Moreover, a month-long supereruption could affect the global climate for years, even decades. (Looks like the American Redoubt would be wiped out – glad I’m in Tennessee.)

And the video below from RT News: Hundreds of earthquakes near Yellowstone supervolcano up eruption fears.
The US Geological Survey tallied more than 500 earthquakes around a massive active volcano in Yellowstone National Park. If the volcano erupts it will be the largest event of its kind since Mt. St. Helen decades ago, though scientists say there’s only a 1-in-730 chance the volcano erupts anytime soon.
And from Mr. Michio – Yellowstone will devastate the earth.
What do you think? Are you prepared for a potential eruption? What have you done to prepare?
